TechOne is an innovative and challenging first year cohort program at the Surrey campus offered by the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology (FCAT). It offers a broad foundation and introduction to university for students who are curious about how technology, design and people influence one another.

An emphasis on team-based learning, close-knit learning environments, and individual attention and support are pillars of the program. Active learning is stressed so you will find it a fully participatory and engaging experience. TechOne students will bring an understanding of how technology and people interact, as well as a toolkit of critical thinking and communication skills to their second year studies.

A great first year is important to every student’s university experience, so TechOne provides a welcoming community and a commitment to the success of every student.

“I think the small class sizes and the fact that you work in teams made my first year great.  I got to meet people; I got to know my professors and overall had a great experience.” [More]
